I couldn't run free jquery slideshow download on Windows Server 2008
Q: I have attempted to install with no success. The install completes just fine, but when I attempt to start the program, it won't start. It just immediately errors out and closes. I assume this is because I'm running Window Server 2008 (I am a programmer). Is there any way to get this to work on Server 2008 (I already tried compatibility mode).
A: Try to do the following:
Control panel -> System -> Advanced system settings -> (Performance) Settings -> Data Execution Prevention.
Turn off DEP or add VisualSlideShow in the exception list.
